Anné Mariè du Preez Bezdrob

Anné Mariè du Preez Bezdrob is an award-winning former political journalist. She was a radio and television presenter, and has worked for the United Nations in New York; in Namibia on the UNTAG mission leading up to Namibia’s independence; and on the UNPROFOR mission during the war in Bosnia, where she spent two years in Sarajevo.

She is the author of numerous articles in the local and international media, a number of short stories, and the acclaimed political biographies:

– Winnie Mandela: A Life – Prescribed reading at Boston University in the USA for the fourth year running. The film ‘Winnie Mandela’, with Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson in the lead role, is based on the book.
